(OLNEY) The Richland County Relay For Life came to an end late this past Saturday night and it was deemed yet another “huge” success. The 2018 event, held in Ron Herrin Gym at Richland County High School, involved several local Relay For Life teams with 200 luminaries, 80 registered cancer survivors, and approximately 50 walkers/runners participating in the first ever Hope Glows 5K/1 Mile Walk/Run. Also congratulations to the top ten fundraising teams : Runyon Family ($7,935) : Carle Richland Memorial Hospital ($4,847) : Brenda’s Hope Brigade ($3,231) : Olney Free Methodist Church ($2,514) : First National Bank in Olney ($2,113) : Murvin & Meier Oil Company ($1,613) : Steber Family Farm ($1,587) : Trinity Lutheran Church ($1,272) : Walmart SuperCenter ($1,177) : Helia Healthcare of Olney ($820). The Relay For Life thanks everyone who took part, in whatever way, to make this year’s event another success. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society to continue the fight against cancer.
