(OLNEY) The 2018 Sounds of Summer Concert Series will kick off tonight in Bower Park, downtown Olney, on the new stage provided by the First National Bank in Olney. The family band, The Ashes, will be the featured musicians tonight from 6:00 to 8:00, with six more concerts to follow on the remaining Thursday nights through June and July. Everyone’s encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, plus concessions will be offered for sale by Walmart DC #6059 with all proceeds to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The Brush Dump at the west edge of Olney is open Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 to 4:00 each day.

That’s tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30 on the Marion County Fairgrounds in Salem and the final three shows Saturday night, Sunday afternoon, and Sunday night on the State Fairgrounds in Du Quoin.
