The Richland County Fair “Spring Crash” Demolition Derby is tonight in the Olney City Park, starting at 7:00. There will be four different classes available with an entry fee of $20 per vehicle. It’s for the first 60 cars or trucks only. The pit gate opens at 4:00 and closes at 6:00, with a drivers meeting set for 6:30. The annual Shriners Vidalia Onion sale is today on the square in Newton from now until 7:00 tonight. Priced at $10 for a ten pound bag, all proceeds go to Shriner’s Hospitals.

The 18th annual Noble MayFest is today in the Noble Village Park. The car show registration is from 9:00 to 12:00 noon with a $10 fee per vehicle. There will be four special awards and more presented at the White Squirrel Cruisers event with judging from 1:00 to 2:00 and awards at 3:00. The Village reminds the community that North Noble Avenue (between Poplar Street and Elm Street) will be closed during the car show today in Noble.
TrustBank will host its annual Lawn & Garden Show today from 9:00 to 2:00, at 500 East Main Street, in downtown Olney. It’s a Bake Sale from 9:00 this morning until sold out will have all proceeds going to the local Shelter Friends, plus free hot dogs and soda will be served starting at 11:00 this morning. All invited.
The Calvary Baptist Church in Olney will have a Pork Burger Cookout today at Rural King in Olney,
with serving from 10:00 to 2:00. All proceeds raised is for a mission trip in September to Ontario, Canada.
